3. Hub: Puerto Plata

Joining the United Airline Group - Wings alliance
We are pleased to announce that yesterday our subsidiary airline "Lion Airlines" joined the "United Airline Group - Wings" alliance.

Second Hub: Santiago
For capacity reasons, we opened a second hub in Santiago (Dominican Republic). The airport is about a 2.5 hour drive from our home airport in Santo Domingo and is connected by our shuttles (buses) at 30 minute intervals. For customers who arrive at one of the two airports with Caribbean International Airlines and wish to continue their travel with us at the other airport, this offer is free of charge. If only one of the flights is operated by our airline, you pay 50% (25 € / person) for the transfer costs. We will take over the remaining costs for you. If you are not flying with Caribbean International Airlines, you can also use our shuttles. However, in this case, we can not refund you the cost of 50 € (also a seat reservation is not possible in this case). Please indicate the request of the transfer when booking your trip. So we can reserve you a seat and save you from unnecessary waiting times. All transfers are direct and without stops.

Associated Company: Lion Airlines
We are pleased to announce that on March, 14 2019 our first subsidiary Lion Airlines was founded. Lion Airlines sees itself as a Scottish airline based in Edinburgh. The name and logo are derived from the official coat of arms of today's and even the historic kingdom of Scotland, which shows a lion on a gold background. Further hubs are planned in future in Glasgow-Prestwick and later also in Glasgow International.
